Ollie Bar
Pop comes pre-loaded
The Ollie bar is a totally new approach to adding pop to a snowboard. Built in place in a pre-loaded, cambered shape it solves the concern that rocker board don’t have the pop camber board have.Made with a secret layup of carbon, Kevlar and urethane layers, the ollie bar is positioned in the center of the board between the binding inserts. Strong ollies and pressing power doesn’t come from the tail alone. The backbone center section is actually more critical for smooth even pressure. You gotta try it to believe the pop.
Hybrilight Construction
Less waste, more shred!
K2’s exclusive Hybrilight construction features a thin, constant thickness sidewall designed for maximum performance and minimal material usage. The result is a lighter, more advanced snowboard with significantly less waste produced in manufacturing. Better on hill and greener for the hill.
WH4 Core
Super-light honeykomb Core Technology
The WH4 Core pulls every trick from our bag of core tech. With a greater percentage of HONEYKOMB than the WH3 Core, it’s engineered to maintaindurability at minimal weight.
ICG 20
Triaxial Glass
A glass laminate with diagonal layers that stiffens the board torsionally. Giving you improved edge hold and increased stability for those off-axis landings
Hyper Progressive
An infinite number of different radius are blended together flawlessly from mellow in the tips, to more aggressive in the center. The result is a super predictable feel that never hooks. Responsive at high speeds and smooth enough to butter your way from the peak to park.

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Slayblade:
This is my first board. I just took it on the slopes in Utah and the flatline was outstanding. I've tried regular camber boards and had little success. After a day of practice, I felt comfortable riding on just about anything save the back country blacks - of course, that's just me, not the board's fault. It handles the crud ok. Powder is where it shines. The faster you go, the better the board gets. The simple answer is, go slayblade flatline and never look back.

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Slayblade:
Just used the board at Heavenly Lake Tahoe Dec 2010. Great all-mountain board with perfect flex. On groomers it held well and was very stable. First time in real powder between trees and had no problems. With the stiffer Burton Co2 bindings there is heaps of control and suited my downhill all mountain style of riding. Flatline base is not edgey on flat cat tracks which was a concern, if anything better then a cambered board. You will not regret buying this board!

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Slayblade:
I am an intermediate rider and just bought my first professional board. The Slayblade.
I am using the board for powdering, tricks and all mountain riding and I really have to say that this board is just amazing. Very fast, stable and just perfect for powder and tricks.
I would not recommend this board to a beginner becaues the Flatline technology it is harder to navigate than a traditional camber or rocker board.
If you want a perfekt board for everything, which just looks great you will love the Slayblade.

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Slayblade:
I just bought this as my first board along with Maysis boots and Auto bindings. I used them for the early season in Utah and the combo was amazing.
I've only been boarding a couple times with some cambered demo boards. There is NO COMPARISON. The flatline makes transitions like melted butter. Even as a beginner, I thought this board got me hard carving almost right out of the gate, something that those other boards couldn't seem to help with. In the pow, it was like riding on cotton candy and the faster, the better.
My only con has to do with how quickly it can get dinged up. Seems a shame considering how beautiful the Penguin graphics are.

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Slayblade:
This is my first non-cambered board, I wanted something more playful and forgiving that I could still charge on, even on hard pack, and WOW, this board is awesome.
Very first run it felt like I'd been riding it for a few seasons. Hard groomers, trees, park freshies, everything was sweet, even when I'd kook it and hit a trannie wrong the board would cruise on through like nothing happened.
Whats with all the cracks round the Harshmellow though? I didn't toast it

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Slayblade:
got this thing at the beginning of the season. i love it. its not to stiff but not too buttery. i use it for park and all mountain. i was looking around for a good two months and was dead set on a ride machete but i went to purchase it and they were sold out. so the sales man showed me this and the jibpan. i choose this guy and dont regret it at all.
